Rowan House provides a warm, homely and welcoming environment for 5 adults with forensic and severe mental health problems. Staff are trained to meet the specific needs of this client group. The staff team is led by a team of experienced qualified psychiatric nurses in the forensic field and highly trained support staff who aim to provide ongoing assessment and support to these individuals. The care team receives regular training to update their knowledge and enhance their skills in challenging behaviour, Risk Assessments and Management.
In collaboration with the client, their families, carers, social workers and other relevant professionals, each individual is comprehensively assessed to ensure that their individual care needs are identified and met. Regular risk assessments are carried out and appropriate risk management plans are put in place as a key feature in safely managing such high risk clients in the community.
